A Roundlute is a string instrument that is played with a bow.
Description[edit | edit source]
Roundlutes are a circular, five string instrument made out of wood. It has a neck running vertically through the middle with a cavity on either side. The soundhole is positioned just below the neck. Despite having five strings, it is shown to only have four tuning pegs at the top of the neck. The stick part of the bow used is curved outwards.
Two hand placements have been shown. One has the player positioning their hand through one of the cavities from behind and then placing their fingers onto the strings; and the other has them gripping the neck. In both placements, the bow rests on or just below the soundhole.
The instrument is most likely referenced after the real life lute given the similiar name and shape.
