Japan[edit | edit source]
All of the Japanese limited editions feature slight cover variations—with the gold "mounting" corners recolored to compliment each volume's specific artwork. Each limited edition includes a unique promotional item. Replacement dust jackets were also distributed in Morning Two magazine.[1] These replacement covers match the variant covers included with the French collector editions. Please refer to the French list for example images.
Volume 1[edit | edit source]
No limited edition produced.
Volume 2[edit | edit source]
The second volume special edition came with a 32-page mini artbook containing color illustrations, rough sketches, and previously unpublished concept art.[1] The cover was designed to evoke the feeling of an old magic book.[2] A digital version of this special release is also available which includes a copy of the accompanying artbook.
- Note: Unlike the other Japanese limited release volumes, Volume 2 was labeled as a "special edition" (特装版, tokusōban) instead of a "limited edition" (限定版, genteiban).

France[edit | edit source]
All of the French collector editions feature reversible dust jackets with the original cover on one side and a variant cover on the other. The variant covers mostly feature illustrations from collector edition artbooks. Each collector's edition also includes a unique promotional item, many of which that match the Japanese releases. Please refer to the Japanese list for additional item descriptions.
Volume 1[edit | edit source]
The first volume collector's edition came with the same 32-page mini artbook that was included with the Japanese Volume 2 special edition. The French collector's edition also includes a bonus interview with Kamome Shirahama.[30] Due to a printing error, this volume was released without a reversible variant cover. To remedy the mistake, a complimentary replacement cover was later made available to those who purchased the first edition.[31] In addition, a free shikishi bookplate was offered at participating bookstores and Salon Livre Paris, in conjunction with the release of the first volume.[32]
