The Diadem Herb is a plant that is only found on the Dadah Range and is used in the first Pentagram Test.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Diadem Herb is characterized by a rounded bud on a long stem. Each bud has 4 curled stamen that grow from the base of the bud and point inwards towards its center. The Diadem Herb has large leaves that grow at the bottom of the stem. The plant's name comes from its overall crown-like appearance.[1]
Diadem Herb only grows at the top of the Dadah Range.[2]
The petals are also used in Marktea known as Throne tea,[3] and produces a red color when brewed.[4] The tea has a potent, acerbic taste which can be balanced by adding nectar or honey, and is said to improve metabolism.[3]
History[edit | edit source]
The Consent of the Crown test requires those who wish to become apprentices to harvest the herb from the Dadah Range. This act is symbolic of the punishment given to the King of Dadah who raised the mountains into the sky solely to see his crown above all others.[1]
Throne Tea made its food debut in Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen when Qifrey introduced Marktea to Coco during a rainy day[5] and played a game of Hushtea with all of the girls.[6] Throne Tea has been used rarely since as a natural food dye for Qifrey's Glittering Gelatin Gems.[7]
