A Palm Quire is a handheld notepad used by witches to cast spells when there is no stable surface on which to do so.

The quire is essentially a circular notepad which can strap to one's hand, able to be used when a seal must be drawn when there is no stable surface, or when the spell must be drawn discreetly.[1] Nearly all witches have a quire on hand at all times due to the high utility and concealability of the tool, and can even have spells drawn in it ahead of time, allowing spells to be quickly activated on the go. This can be accomplished by leaving a gap in the outer circle of the spell drawn in the quire. By closing the gap, the spell can be quickly completed and activated straight away.

Coco was gifted a palm quire among other tools by Qifrey as part of her welcoming to his atelier.[1] Qifrey also used one, paired with a Water Pen, to draw spells within the Serpentback Cave after his arm was injured.
