Myrphons are an aquatic, flightless birdlike species that inhabit the coasts.
Description[edit | edit source]
They are beings similar to griffins that live near the water. They somewhat resemble penguins, but with four legs instead of two.[1] The cliffs of Cape Romonon serve as an important breeding ground for the species.[2]
History[edit | edit source]
The myrphon was first seen just before the first test began. The objective of the test was for the apprentice witches to reach the end of the Serpentback Cave while escorting the myrphons along the path without the myrphons realizing they were human. They did this through the use of mirror mantles.[3]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When Coco first saw the Myrphons, she thought they were gryphons,[1] a species related to quadryphons with four legs and two wings, rather than the two legs and four wings of Quadryphons.[4]
