The serpent's bed of sand is a mixed earth-time spell created by the four apprentices of Qifrey's Atelier that creates a cloud made of sand.

The serpent's bed of sand is an amalgamation of several spells. At its center is a billow cluster spell, which contains a central billowing keystone surrounded by collection keystones. Arranged around that are several wall breaker seals, the seals containing an earth sigil paired with crush and column signs, all wrapped up in a repetition seal which contains repetition sigils, convergence signs, and column signs. It creates a large, fluffy cloud out of sand, and is strong enough to hold up a dragon.[1]

The spell was created by the four apprentices of Qifrey's Atelier, Tetia, Richeh, Coco, and Agott. It was then used to make the dragon guarding the illusory labyrinth glyph fall asleep, allowing the girls to destroy it and escape.[1]
