Healingcraft is a type of magic that is used to assist with medicine/healing. It is not currently practised and is considered forbidden magic.

History[edit | edit source]

Before the day of the pact, there were groups of witches who would use magic to provide medical aid, a practice known as healingcraft. However, some individuals found more selfish ways to use this type of magic such as by seeking immortality and raising the dead, and ended up using human test subjects to achieve their goals. This eventually led to a war.[1]

Healingcraft practitioners were the last to resist against the new law about magic not being allowed to be cast on the body. They were unsuccessful and all those that practised healingcraft had their memories erased.[2]

The Pact outlined that medicine and magic should be completely separated with no witches being able to learn medicine, and no doctors being able to learn magic thus outlawing healingcraft entirely and making it forbidden.[1]

Creations[edit | edit source]

  • The Twinned Bottles contraption was created by healingcraft witches to share potions so no one is without in times of need.[2]

Symbols[edit | edit source]

Healingcraft Symbol

Witches who practice healingcraft are shown wearing a symbol that is presumably the predecessor to the current Doctor symbol. It is comprised of a 4 pointed cross with dots on each end with an enclosing circle going through the dots.

Descendants[edit | edit source]

  • Deanreldy Ezrest is the last of a house that was wiped from history that was known for its skill in healingcraft.[3]
