Chapter Fifty Three of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series.
Summary[edit | edit source]
The chapter starts right after the ending page of the previous one with Qifrey finding Agott burning her spells.
The girl explains that she is upset because Olruggio didn't allow her to show her spells at the Silver Eve Procession to the "person she wanted". Qifrey gets that the person Agott wanted to show the magic was Adina Arkrome, Agott's mother and chief librarian of the Tower of Tomes. Agott, visibly angry from remembering her family, tells Qifrey she wants to prove to her family and drag on their faces the fact that she can be an exellent witch and that they should regret kicking her out of the Arkrome family.
Qifrey then explains how super attractive and exaggerated spells, the type of spells Agott wanted to show at the procession, are not so important at their current society. Qifrey even says "Witches must think deeply about not to draw" and, with this, he concludes that Agott should think twice about what she really want to do with her magic, or else she could be used by someone.
While this conversation happens, Tetia and the Eolio swapped outfits and now are walking the higher streets of the city. After some short conversation, the prince goes down on one knee and tells her how clothes are like magic and Tetia happily agrees and slaps his hand in a friendly way.
Eolio starts to laugh and explains how he wanted to "escort Tetia home" and then says how he was taught that humans and witches were two completly different existences from one another, and couldn't be friends. Tetia disagrees and says that they can, indeed, be friends and even tought the two of them had some kind of friendship after their clothe exchange. Later, Tetia wanders why Eolio thought they couldn't be friends and remembers how she felt a little uneasy at the moments he said that.
After this, Qifrey briefs explains how magic couldn't be handled to the royal family because King Deanrealdea is the one that rules over the medicine, this is why he is also known as the King of Life, and is also decendant of the Witch Doctors, long forggoten and erased from history.
At the end of the chapter, Coco asks Qifrey if she can show her Wingcloak at Silver Eve Procession to everyone's surprise, specially Agott's.
