A silverwhite capture pennant is a magic contraption used by the Knights Moralis to restrain those who use forbiden magic[1] or to transport people and objects.[2]
Description[edit | edit source]
The banner is constructed from a long, thin, and featureless shaft. Near the end of the shaft, an obtuse triangle protrudes from the side of the shaft, the short edges of the triangle made from 2 bars affixed to the main shaft. Affixed to one of the protruding bars is a long silvery banner, with a glyph drawn near it's base. The banner is roughly as wide as each of the bars affixed to the shaft, and can slide between them. At the end of the banner is a circular ring and a short spike. The banner can wrap around objects, and is controlled by the user through unknown means.

Advanced Forms[edit | edit source]
Sinsinger's Talons[edit | edit source]
SPOILER WARNING FOR CHAPTER 79 and CHAPTER 80
An advanced magic with the Silver-White Capture Pennant involves combining the Memory Erasure spell to the pennant, causing the fabric to turn black and transforms the pennant's end into a bullseye design with talon-like appendages. This attack is called Sinsinger's Talons ( 罪告鳥の鉤爪 Tsumitsugedori no kagizume),[3] and attacks with lightening speed to erase people's memories. It does so by wrapping around the target to immobilize them and then the talon-like appendage latches onto the person's face. The degree to which memories are erased depends on the spell attached to the pennant.[4]
End of spoiler.
History[edit | edit source]
The silver-white capture pennant first appeared in Chapter 11, where one banner used by Easthies was used to capture Agott and Coco.[1] Later, the banners were used to assist several Outsiders affected by a magical disaster, and to support Custas' legs, which had been broken, while he was being moved to the Kalhn Medical Facility. In Chapter 79 we see Easthies attach a spell to his pennant to bring forth an advanced form.[5]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Silver-white capture pennants are flammable, as demonstrated when Richeh freed Agott and Coco from one by burning it with magic.
