The Stretcher Skiff (担架船, Tankasen) is a term for the magical use of Alaira's cloak to carry injured people or items.

Description[edit | edit source]

Most likely a spell etched into the lining of Alaira's cloak, as when the Stretcher Skiff is in use, she is no longer wearing her cloak.[1] And when the skiff is no longer needed, she puts her cloak back on.[2] The Stretcher Skiff levitates at waist height, and is long enough that even a tall man can lay comfortably in it.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the second Pentacle of Proving Arc, Qifrey became injured and so at times Alaira had him resting in the Stretcher Skiff as they moved through the Serpentback Cave.[1]

In Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen, Alaira runs into Qifrey while he uses water magic to drive away a school of Parasol Jelly from the Great Hall, and uses her Stretcher Skiff to collect the jellies that were left behind. (Which Qifrey takes home to make into dinner.)[3]
