The Guidance Orb is a small, roughly grapefruit-sized spherical Contraption used by witches.[1]
Description[edit | edit source]
Guidance Orbs are used to guide the user to a destination[2] by tracking the source of an object. When an object is placed inside the orb, it will point to the various details it represents such as the place it was created or the owner.[3] The objects placed inside the orb can be fragments of a larger object, an item someone owns, etc. Using blood provides the strongest link when tracking.[4]

In the past, a large guidance orb was used by the Knights Moralis to track Qifrey's blood.
Coco was given a guidance orb by Agott as a tool for the test of "Consent of the Crown".[2] She uses it during the test of "The Sincerity of the Shield" to find Richeh with her crystal ribbon.
Qifrey planned to use a guidance orb with a seal from a twin bottle to guide him to the Brimmed Caps.[3]
