Directly following the events of the previous chapter, Qifrey explains about Hushtea, a game that involves guessing the ingredients of cups of Marktea from the color and aroma. Due to the exponential complexity of options, they limit the game to nine Marktea slips and some flavorings. Qifrey presents two cups of single slip Marktea, which Richeh and Agott identify easily. They place the cups onto Smokesculpting Seals inscribed onto the saucers to verify their answers, both correct. Qifrey increases the difficulty by using 2 slips. The next tea has a misleading color, but Tetia identifies it nonetheless. Qifrey tries to make a real challenge for the last one, leaving the girls incapable of answering. He prepared enough for them all to drink the tea, which allows Coco to find the answer. The girls were thrown off by the addition of Thornbark tea, which is extremely bitter on its own, but is more subtle when mixed. Qifrey says he was expecting to teach the girls about the Marktea, but they saw through all of the challenges. Olruggio says that Qifrey wasn't disappointed, but rather enjoyed this more.
