Chapter Forty Five of the eighth volume of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series.
Summary[edit | edit source]
Custas is flying through the sky with the help of Coco and Tartah's contraption. They explain how it works and how to use it to him and ask if there's anything he needs changing so it can be customised to his needs. Dagda approaches them as Custas has flown off and thanks the two for what they've done for Custas.
Later, Custas is showing off that he's memorised the alphabet and writes out an apology in the ground to Coco and Tartah for lashing out as they didn't choose to be born witches. Custas and Dagda leave and Tartah wonders whether he should've taught Custas magic to make living easier in general.
Custas and Dagda are camping in the woods when Dagda is shot in the back with an arrow by bandits. He yells at Custas to fly away and Custas does so while the bandits and Dagda fight. Ininia approaches the clearing to a group of dead bodies on the ground. Restys, through a presumably magic crystal, notes that Dagda isn't dead and gives Ininia permission to rewind time for him so he won't die. She criticises the witches who won't save lives when they can and offers to help Custas.
