Chapter Forty Eight of the ninth volume of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series.
Summary[edit | edit source]
Easthies greets the Three Wise. Vinanna starts a fight with him to show the guards in the room that they're still capable without magic inside the castle. Lagrah introduces himself as the new Wise in Friendship to Easthies.
The five rulers object to Lagrah as they were not informed of Engendale resigning. They argue over various matters related to a witch's role and responsibilities in relation to rulers. Deanreldy eventually arrives and helps settle matters.
Later on, Beldaruit is conversing with Lagrah about the meeting and how Deanreldy is clever with his words. Engendale, currently handcuffed, finds out that his position as Wise in Friendship has been replaced by Lagrah as he has been engaging in illegal activities for several years now. He is dragged away by Utowin and Vinanna.
Ininia and Custas are shown together making their way to Ezrest. Custas is standing on his own legs.
Qifrey's Atelier are in the crowds at Silver Eve for the opening parade. Tetia was excited to see the Whiskercats but Olruggio slept in so they missed them. Coco points out Luluci and the other Knights Moralis performing the Order's Pennant Dance. Easthies spots her in the crowd and glares at her. Tartah grabs her attention to take her back to the tent before the streets are packed. The group arrives back at the tent to see it all set up.
A guard asks Qifrey if he has seen a young boy about Coco's age running around but he hasn't. Its revealed in a conversation between the guard and another that the boy is the prince and that he is currently fixated on wanting to be a witch. The boy is shown hiding in a tent overhearing the conversation before running away.
