Summary[edit | edit source]
Custas reminisces about the past few days since he learned magic. At first, he and Dagda were amazed by his new capabilities, thinking they were saved - feeling that immediately vanished as the boy witnessed the spell cast on Dagda run out, watching him die again. Ininia and Restys explain to him he has to cast the spell over and over again, due to true healing magic being lost to time, something they plan on fixing with the boy's help.
Cut back to the present, Coco and Tartah are horrified to discover the implications of the spell cast on Dagda. Custas yells at them, saying he has no other option. This makes Coco break into tears at the thought that her and Custas are in a similar situation, and that she would have done the same horrors to her mother if presented with the opportunity. She asks Custas to help him, much to his confusion and anger.
Tartah interrupts the two mid confrontation to remind them that they forgot a very obvious solution - going to see a doctor. He mentions the rumors he's heard of king Dean being a skilled physician, and proceeds to apologize to Custas for hiding the truth behind magic from him. While interested at the mention of saving Dagda's life, Custas scoffs his apology and teleports away, taking the unconscious Dagda away with him.
Meanwhile, Ininia tracked down where Galga had been left unconscious in rubble. Wounded, the man cannot move. Ininia takes his palm quire, telling him she will erase his memories with it while he stands powerless, as "it is the way the Pointed Caps do".
Coco and Tartah bump into Atuarto, who worries about his lover's dissapearance.
