During dinner one evening, Qifrey and the girls notice that Olruggio hasn't touched his supper and ask if he's alright. Olruggio warns them to stay back and lists off his symptoms of how he's not feeling well. Qifrey guesses that Olruggio has a cold and checks his forehead for a fever. Olruggio soars into the air with his Sylph Shoes to get away, yelling at Qifrey about what if he got them sick too. He then apologizes for getting sick in the first place, and flies off to go to bed, saying his room's off limits and if he's still sick in the morning he'll see a doctor. Night falls, and the girls worry about Olruggio skipping dinner as they wash the dishes. Qifrey returns home with a little bag of the highly sought-after Rocklodge Ginger. The girls are amazed at how quickly he found some, and Qifrey says he knows a secret spot where they grow. He then tells the girls to get plenty of sleep in case a cold is going around, and they wish him the same.
The meal Qifrey makes is a simple bread porridge, with milk and crumbled pieces of bread over a low heat. Brushbuddy stays to accompany Qifrey, and so gets to taste-test the pungent ginger, to his own shock. Qifrey explains how to prepare the ginger, as well as how each element of the meal helps when having a cold. When everything's ready, he pours the bread porridge into a bowl and tops with a drizzle of Honeytree nectar and a tuft of sliced ginger root, and takes it to Olruggio. Leaving it by the door, Qifrey calls out that it's here and to drink plenty of tea as the food will make him sweat. Just on that clue Olruggio guesses then confirms upon opening the door that the meal includes Rocklodge Ginger. But when he calls out, Qifrey has already left. Olruggio mumbles about the fuss he went to, then eats the bread porridge in his loft bed, saying it's effective.

On the final page, in the Japanese version after Qifrey delivers the food and leaves, Olruggio calls Qifrey an excessive meddler. In the English version, Olruggio instead says, "Whole lotta fuss over a little cold..."
