Chapter Sixty Two of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series.
Summary[edit | edit source]
Coco asks Agott what her plan is and Agott explains that it's only a small addition to Coco's spell that'll make the crowds more interested in it. Coco is enthusiastic at receiving help and Agott recognizes that as her strength and something that she doesn't have. While modifying the spell, Agott asks Coco is she remembers what it was like before she became a witch and what she dreamt of using magic for back then. Coco shares that she wanted to fly among other personal wants and that all she thought about what the excitement and wonder of magic. Once she's finished drawing, Agott pulls Coco up to show bird-like creatures made of water coming out of the vase. Coco recognizes the magic as the signs that Agott showed her last night. The water sculptures change direction in the air and fly towards the sewers. The crowd realizes that if they use the contraption they won't have to dump their own dirty water out anymore and cheer, holding up their flags.
Coco thanks Agott and explains how she realizes that she had to make the spell for everyone not just for those who would benefit from it otherwise it might not get the chance to make anyone happy. Agott adds that spells should be for and bring happiness to the witch who makes it as well. She resolves to show Coco how to think of herself when drawing magic as thats her own strength.
Coco sees Dagda in the crowd holding a flag up before Tartah gets her attention and points her towards King Deanreldy. Agott notices where she's looking and spots her mother in the stand. She goes to leave for her own stage when it suddenly tilts over causing the two to fall. Olruggio manages to catch them before they hit the ground. He asks the witches leading the Eldroxen what happened and they say that they just suddenly stopped. Qifrey realizes that they're frightened and Coco flies into the air and sees Custas looking off into the distance. He asks if that was made with magic and Coco sees a giant Valance Leech coming from Ezrest Castle.
A severed hand has the beginnings of the leech coming from it as it disappears through a hole in the tower. Engendale calls him an ignorant fool who never stopped to think about why the rules are in the place.
