Chapter Eighty-Four of the Witch Hat Atelier manga series.
Summary[edit]
The witches start to realise that the Valance Leech has been defeated. Olruggio notices that his wound is gone. The witches celebrate that they managed to reverse the leech and the Outsiders cheer for the witches.
The Illicit Contraption Seller wakes up in the middle of the woods, confused on how he got there from his cell. A small Valance Leech moving towards him freaks him out but is trapped in a dome by Lagrah before it can reach him. The seller thanks him and asks if he knows what's going on, or if he was the one who broke him out, offering his contraption at a discount as thanks. Lagrah doesn't respond and instead knocks him out, tying him up and trapping him inside another dome. Lagrah languishes that his first Silver Eve as a Wise was so eventful.
Qifrey helps check Olruggio for his injuries and they confirm that they're gone. Olruggio notes that he can still remember what happened and that the spell did only work on the leech. Lagrah joins them and the other witches and says that they've captured the culprit but that they must converse with the Tower of Tomes witches to "determine how they should handle things going forward". He says that in the meanwhile they should be relieved that they accomplished their main goal of keeping people safe and that they should be proud.
Qifrey approaches Coco, asking to speak with her. Coco starts apologising for flying off earlier but stops when she notices Qifrey's demeanor. He asks where Custas is and Coco answers that he should be at the Western Medical Spire with Dagda. Qifrey confirms that he's with family, Coco agrees saying that even if they're not blood related they chose to be together and that's what's important. She notes that Custas fell asleep in Dagda's arms as soon as they got to spire and that she realised that Dagda's embrace must be the most comforting place for Custas. She remembers that Qifrey didn't come back with Luluci and Dagda and asks where he was but is shocked at Qifrey's expression. Qifrey says that he must find Custas quickly before it's too late. Coco asks whats going on and if he is in danger.
Deanreldy enters The Door of the Wise in a bad mood. The doctors say it was a miracle that everyone who was attacked by the leech is cured. Deanreldy says it wasn't a miracle but magic. The doctors cheer for the witches.
Atwert, Galga, and Ininia approach the Medical Spire. Atwert says that he hopes they can find who she's looking for.
